After over 40 years as a Main Street presence, Casagmo Condos are getting a long-awaited facelift that is transforming them into the most affordable AND desirable in-town condos in Ridgefield. This breaking Ridgefield news encourages everyone who is thinking of finding a cozy in-town home for retirement or as a first-time owner to look now and make a smart investment for your future.
The Casagmo Association members have engaged Four Seasons Construction, a Connecticut corporation not only to restore the exterior structure but also to create a brand new ambiance within the complex.¬† With 3 distinct color pallets, the complex will distinguish “neighborhoods” within the community.
This $6,500,000 project began in October 2013 and the Association anticipates it will be completed in March 2015.  The work will result in a special assessment for each unit.   Stripped down to the sheathing, the buildings are being re-insulated and then re-sided with horizontal vinyl siding.  Windows are being replaced and trim work is being refreshed, and once completed, the value of each unit will be substantially enhanced.  In process, the buildings look like they are under construction.  As you can see, one of the buildings on Keeler Close has been stripped of all of its vertical siding and is awaiting the installation of the new vinyl.
Once completed, the complex will be transformed from a California contemporary look to a more traditional New England appearance.  Forty-year old windows, will be replaced by 21st Century double pane units that will improve insulation and remove all of the broken seals.
The nearly complete work on Cook Close tells the story.  And the residents agree: The Casagmo Facelift is changing Main Street, and makes its 300+ units a very exciting place to live and enjoy the innumerable events in downtown Ridgefield, CT.
The Casagmo complex offers an in-ground pool for residents as well as a clubhouse and playground.  Recently resurfaced game courts offer space for basketball and tennis in every season!
